just a note..:
The tent I use is made by Hilleberg and called 'Nallo 3'. Bought in 1990 did
it make me feel home on all my travels and never gave any reason for anger.
In short for comparison to other tents:
36 month (3 years) of its 10 years lifetime did it spent on my carriers. About
two-thirds of the nights of those 36 month has the tent been pitched up.
Which makes about 70 nights per year during a 10-year period of time.
Considering the price of 500 USD (that time same as nowadays) it comes
to 50 USD per year only. If that doesn't count for quality!
Now (2000) I retired my good old 'Nallo 3' and bought a new tent.
Of course a 'Nallo 3' again!
