Into the red center of Australia - by bicycle

Route:
Melbourne - Ballarat - Grampians (Gariwerd) NP - Little Desert NP - Big Desert Wilderness [Nhill-Murrayville-Track] - Loxton - Burra - Wilpena Pound [Flinders Range] - Marree - Oodnadatta [Oodnadatta Track] - Marla - Ayers Rock - Kings Canyon - Alice Springs - [Tanami Track]

The bike:
Travel around on a Koga-Miyata "Randonneur Extra", a so-called touring bike, since 1991. I try to use only high quality setup like Ultegra bar end shifters, XT derailleurs and hubs, certain Mavic rims, Schwalbe "Marathon" tyres, or an Ideale leather seat. The lowrider is selfmade.

Equipment:
Compiled on a separate page.

Details:
For all other details - like planning the journey, camping, info on the route etc. - please send me an email. Have unfortunately not enough web space to publish all that but will be glad to answer via email.

Photos:
Australia has that much to be seen and explored, it's practically impossible to ban the full varity on some positives. Nevertheless would I like to show you some of the impressions I got while travelling around. Will switch to other pics from time to time. Right now: Australia at night (The Olgas / bicycles / Alice Springs / Big Billy Bore).
